JV

This was taken a couple of days before I left, when Jessica Vanfleteren and I spent some time in Royal Oak. When I saw it I said, "Awe" and then proceeded to mutilate it in Camera RAW and Photoshop.

These two were also taken with JV but in early June before I left to work at camp. I don't remember really having an opinion of them when I first saw them but there is something about them that I like now. They are both very American and particularly Michigan to me.

Bad Pictures

I'm not sure I've gotten my bad pictures and photoshop filters gimmicky project out of my system yet. You can see that here http://www.flickr.com/photos/45422442@N03/ . It's supposed to be bad. You can like it if you want though.

Hi, House

I stumbled upon some pictures I took the day I left when I was looking through older folders of pictures. I felt like over photoshopping the bajesus out of something so I chose images of my piano and my room. I hear people really like it when you make stuff look like its vintagey even though it clearly isn't.

Niepce House

We went to this house, Niepce House. It is the location of where the first ever photograph was ever taken. (It looks like this if you are interested http://bit.ly/78VBIB). It is located in Burgundy and took us four hours to get there by bus. It was interesting ish. We mainly just chuckled while the lady gave us a tour of it.

These pictures aren't from the house but from the graveyard where Nicéphore Niepce is buried. And they really don't have anything to do with anything.

This is Amit. He is Israeli. He likes cooking. He's good people.

This would be Anna. I don't really know why this was happening.

Now I can stand while showering

We recently acquired a shower curtain. Ruggero bought it. It's basically adorable. For the past 20 days I've been sitting in the tub and moving the shower head all over myself to prevent splashing. It's kind of weird. Your entire body is basically freezing except for the small portion that is being hit with the water. Standing is far superior.

Crêpe Man

I probably could have watched this man make crepes for hours without getting bored. Still photographs don't really do the whole crepe making process justice. It's rad and when full of Nutella it's incredible.

People Being Drawn By Artists in Montmarte, pt. 2

Place de la République Protest Demonstration

These people do not like abortion. So they swarmed the giant statue near my apartment and handed out balloons and sang songs. I didn't spend enough time to really judge but no one seemed to really be into the demonstration. They all held signs and just talked to each other, ignoring the person shouting over the speakers.

Some People

Props for being different

He was puppeting along to You're Beautiful by James Blunt. It was weird.

Planes in Paris

The French Fighting Fires (For Pappy)

I didn't do a particularly good job on taking these. I just smelled smoke and saw fire fighters running around so I started snapping away.
