These are a few images from my a project about suburbia in the East side of Metro Detroit.  So far I have only photographically explored the area around my house but I'm pleased with its dry banal weirdness.  My plan is to focus more on the newer subdivisions that have been built in the recent years in the area and to let my overall theme/concept come to me as I work and think.

Lately, I've been on a bit of an hiatus from the blog. Since I last updated I went to Italy for two weeks and returned to Detroit. Michigan has left me a tad uninspired so I apologize to the lack of posting (for all three of you that may still be checking up on this). Today I had a pleasant day without showering or pants and decided to go through all of my work from Italy. These and some unposted stuff from Paris should fill up the next several posts before I start making new work in Detroit again.
